Inner Thoughts
So - this is post 101 for the blog! Hopefully not as mysterious and creepy as room 101. Anyways, you probably wont get that reference to 1984 unless you're an Orwell fan? Big Brother is watching fyi. Where was I, oh man yes! Here is another giclee print now available through the website, an edition of 100.

Out Of The Trance
This is one of the limited edition prints now being sold through http://www.atom146.com/ . Only 7 left! So if you are keen - then get hitting those PayPal buttons! Ultimately - I'm trying to save up for a trip to MOMA in New York, I was in New York this one time, August 2001 actually - I took photos of the world trade centre and everything, but I never went to MOMA! Regrets for me, ah well, a good excuse to go back - then I can also visit a Kidrobot retail store, buy a statue-of-liberty hat and give Donald Trump a high five.

Lift Off
Ok guys, so like - epic news here ok? You may want to sit down before you read the rest of what I am typing right now.
It has been done! I've been blundering around on my home pc for some time now and have just launched my new official website... http://www.atom1746.com/ ...awesome.
The main focus of the site is to promote a series of limited edition giclee prints that I'm producing. Giclee is awesome because it helps make art more affordable for us normies - is super quality, super permanent and also looks super good. Thats three 'supers', you can't lose.
You'll totally have to check it out sometime.

Oh man - oh man oh man, Good times. Thanks to everyone who came along! Thanks heaps and heaps, was good to see you all and meet you all. Welcome Home
So I thought I'd show you a picture of our blue carpet and wardrobe doors - also this thing in front of it, one of the pieces in the upcoming exhibition. You see I was out walking this one time, I do that every now and then - walking - and I came across this old Kauri sign in an antique shop. So I brought it, and put paint on it. I call it 'welcome home' - It makes me think of the future, perhaps an old weathered warrior returning to his home planet just to discover that he is no longer welcome for some reason - perhaps because he has a bad case of intergalactic swine flu so they banish him to a distant moon to live out his days. Oh man, poor old weathered warrior.

Warhol Skate Decks
Woah! I totally have to tell you guys about this. Alien Workshop are soon to release a series of Andy Warhol skate board decks. I'm totally going to get one and hang it on my wall, next to this Tokidoki deck that my wife got me for our anniversary (thanks wife, you are awesome btw). Then I will have two awesome decks on the wall, and I'll look at them and my eyes will go "yaaaa awesomeness overlooooad!!" and I'll have a look away for fear of going blind from the awesomeness. True story.

Where London Stood
I'm feeling pretty onto it at the moment, most things are sorted out for the exhibition including professionally printed invitations and even attractive volunteers to hand out the wine and food on the exhibition night, oh man! Totally sorted. Just a few smaller things to do, print title tags for each of the pieces, get some prints sorted, clip my toenails etc.

Orbells Bijou
There is something about this one that has a real Lichtenstein feel about it, I think it's the fact that it's a big soppy kiss! Oh man, girly.

Bigger canvas = I love it. I was going to add some russian text into the blue panel at the top and the bottom, but it looks good enough with just the benday dots I recon!

Five Aspects Of Distraction
Ahhh so - Just got back from ten days chilling out on the Gold Coast, sleep in's, movies, shopping, BBQ's & beer. Good times. Anyways! Time to update this thing and let you know what I've been up to. I have another exhibition coming up in April, have I mentioned that already? As a result I have been working my legs off trying to produce paintings at a rapid rate, that way I will hopefully have enough interesting stuff to cover the gallery walls!
Below - I have made a series of five images, watercolour and ink. I quite like this image, might use it as the image for the invitations?

A New Direction
So after reading about Roy Lichtenstein during the exhibition, I have been totally inspired to do something similar, here it is! Oh man, I love how it turned out! It's a bit of a tangent from the ink paintings, but I think I'll try and complete a series of paintings like this. Colour is a pretty cool invention.
